I wish to advise that Kildare, Laois, Meath, Wexford and Westmeath have all confirmed their participation in this year's Young Athletes Inter County League, while Carlow, Kilkenny, Offaly and Wicklow (while interested) have all passed for this year, with Louth yet to confirm.
Consequently, Athletics Leinster are now going with just one night of the Young Athletes Inter County League - i.e. the Final on Tuesday the 19th of July 2011.
Tullamore to be confirmed as the venue, with the Young Athletes Inter County League for Boys and Girls U/14 and U/16, with 2 to count per event - 100m, 800m, Long Jump, Shot & 4 x 200 Relay. Counties are restricted to entering only 2 competitors per each event.
Further details to follow, including scoring matrix but in the meantime I would be grateful if you could please pass on this update to all your contacts.
