“Some of our new young members got their first taste of competition up in Dunboyne track today as we had a friendly invitational meeting for under 9 to 12 members with athletes from Dunboyne, Ratoath and Tara. Fiach Hartigan looks like he will be a flier like his mother, Anna and Ella Moyles burned up the cinder track like their mam did in her prime, Niamh, Grace and Sean Summerville all did the sprint and distance races as well as the long jump and turbo javelin and now wonder why their dad makes such a big deal of an Ironman and great performances too from first timers Mae Fahy, Annie Lynch and Sara Duffy and from 2 more of our experienced campaigners Hilliary Larkin and Ben Foley in the various events – well done all!!!

Ras na hEireann – Battle of the Boyne site – Oldbridge – Sunday 16th February
“The sports mad O’Connor family were our flag bearers at the annual Ras na hEireann cross country festival on the battle of the Boyne site at Oldbridge. Charlie got back into action with a fine 4th place in the boys under 11 race while his older brother Sean was also back in action as the wet conditions put his soccer career on temporary hold as he finished well up in the Boys under 13 race – Well done lads!!
